The Spring Seminar!

A smashing good time was had by all….

The moment of impact at our Spring Seminar in Marshfield on "Black Box" Technology

Attendance was great, and the Spring weather cooperated as AVCAW once again sponsored an educational day long seminar in Marshfield, FREE for all AVCAW members and any and all law enforcement agencies that wished to attend.

Vehicles were equipped with multiple Event Data Recorders

Special thanks to Troopers Tim Austin and Duane Meyers, Crash Reconstruction Specialists, Wisconsin State Patrol, for providing the days instruction. It was a highly detailed an informative presentation, with a little bit of technical entertainment.

The daylong seminar was presented to educate attendees on event data recorders that are equipped on many late model vehicles. Classroom details included vehicle types and the information available on those "black boxes". A practical demonstration highlighted the day, creating a real crash between two vehicles.

Trooper Meyers was kind enough to share the official crash movie with AVCAW. The movie is available in the members' only section of the AVCAW website.
